If you are a PHP developer, you might ask what the best PHP websites on the internet. It is inspiring that with the simplicity and beauty of PHP programming language used server side; it is used by some of the biggest, most popular and useful sites on the internet.
You might have your own answers, but I do have my own list too. The following are my favorites:
1.) Facebook.Com = the second most popular or visited website on the Internet today is powered by PHP programming language. By design, Facebook is user friendly and relies heavily on the use of AJAX and PHP in delivering the best user experience.
Not only that, but Facebook is super rich in media applications such as Adobe Flash which is used in their games. One of the most played games in Facebook is Poker.
2.) WordPress.com = one of the most popular websites on the Internet. WordPress is a free blogging platform (competing Blogger which is owned by Google). The success of WordPress relies on blogging simplicity and customization. Plug-in are used to further enhance the applications which makes WordPress one of the best open source CMS platforms on the internet.
3.) Photobucket.com = the best image hosting on internet. Photobucket is a PHP powered website that is fast, efficient and simple yet elegant. Photobucket makes it very easy for everyone to share photos.
4.) Megavideo.com = they have similar service to YouTube however; I find the videos rendered by Mega video to clearer. I believe they have the most advanced PHP platform used to host videos which is often tricky to do for a PHP developer.
I love the sites you’ve mentioned but how about giving a big up to the smaller PHP sites who are using the language well but haven’t quite hit the facebook visitor levels?!
